Women fighting for equality are finally reached a pinnacle in a male dominant sport, boxing. Women’s boxing will make its debut at the 2012 Olympics in London and will compete in three Olympic weight divisions. We expect some strong artillery being exchanged in the international competitions as this sport debuts in the Olympics. The US elite team should be led by Marlen Esparza, Claressa Shields, Mikaela Mayer, Franchon Crews and heavyweight Victoria Perez…all soon to become household names.
